Spring Style Hacks

Spring has definitely sprung! If you know me at all you’ll know I love a good print. Most, if not all of my outfits have either a print, pattern or colour and are usually finished off with a bright lip! So even though I don’t consider myself a stylist (at all!), I thought I would let you all in on a few of my ‘Spring Style Hacks,’ and show you how I wear bold prints and colours.

If you are new to the whole print and colour thing, start slow. Team a crisp white-tee with a printed skirt to give an outfit a little pop of pattern, or try it the other way around and pair a patterned shirt with denim to create a simple colourful look!

Adding just a pop of colour can turn any outfit in to a fashion forward ensemble. And remember scarves aren’t just for your neck! Tie your hair up with it, thread it through your belt loops or use it as an accessory tied around your handbag strap, the options are endless.

I love make-up, and I’m sure you can all attest to that! In my mind your outfit starts from the neck up so be creative with your make-up looks it really does elevate any outfit! Play with different coloured lips, or even try a bright metallic eye shadow. My favourite colours for Spring are anything bright and bold, think reds, corals, and peach!

One of my favourite spring styling hacks is wearing a bright block colour and teaming it with one of my printed pieces. The colours I’m loving for Spring are anything and everything pastel; think soft greens, pinks and purples. And what better way to finish off a look then with matching shoes!

Sometimes it’s the two prints or colours you don’t think will look good together that make the best outfit! Don’t be afraid to push the boundaries and pair things together that may be a little out there – experimenting is what style is all about. Now this may sound ridiculous but be careful when matching prints that they aren’t too ‘matchy matchy’, it can complicate your look. Go for colours and prints that compliment one another not conflict! This combo is perfect for taking you from day to night – just switch your flats for a pair of heels!

It should come as no surprise that owning a jewellery label means I like to make a statement with my jewels. You can really add personality to your look by adding a statement pieces or even some semi-precious gems. My favourite jewels for Spring are Cotton & Co’s amazing Pink Amethyst & Rock Crystal Sterling Silver Drop Earrings from the Saphira Collection.
