Spring Styling

If I say Spring what jumps to mind? Do you think of florals, bright colours and perfect weather for an outdoor event? Well good, because so do I, and so did the impressive list of event stylists and florist I recently worked with on one very special lady’s 50th birthday.

The birthday girl, Sue, and fifty of her closest friends and family were spoilt to a day of gorgeous décor and exquisite adornments. The event took place in the most enviable of settings in Ascot; can you say location goals? The party’s theme was spring colours, fresh florals, and gold accents; with a colour scheme of soft pinks, hints of blush, vibrant greens finished with bursts of crisp whites.

The flower installations were thanks to the insanely talented Bouquet Boutique, styling by one of Brisbane’s leading event companies White + White, linens by Covered, cutlery by Gold Wedding Hire, and the event was captured by Soda Photography.

I, of course, was brought on board to design the event stationery. The small affair called for invitations for all fifty guests as well as personalised menus for the table setting. I was very excited about the event theme of bright colours and fresh florals and created a bespoke floral design done in pastel watercolours and finished off with gold foiling. The designs were printed on thick textured stock to ensure the invites and menus had a luxe finish. I chose the design and colour scheme to seamlessly tie into the event’s creative brief, from the hanging floral arrangements right down to the gold cutlery.

Here are some pictures of the event’s styling for you all to drool over, I know I did!
